Glen Glenn, Chordettes, more
The Glen Glenn show was really good. He is quite a character, and still sings well. He's 72, and still loves the stage. The back-up group, Sticky Vicky and the Pine Cones were excellent. They had a guest guitar player by the name of Albert lee. He has won many awards, and it shows. After one particularly blazing song with an amazing guitar solo, the regular guitar guy said to the audience pointing to Lee, "That's what I meant to play". They actually had so much firepower when Glen came out, he just stopped playing his guitar. Still, A great show. I think he will be in Green Bay for the annual rock and roll show that fine city puts on.
How much would you pay for 4 Chordettes 45's? They are all near mint or better.....They all have stamped dead wax numbers..... Seems you can buy them now on Ebay for 150.00. Check out the blurry photo and decide. I was thinking a package price of about 7 bucks would be about right. If the bidding got wild and crazy, it could close at 9.50. Even worse, he has a lot more records for sale.
I have not purchased any real exciting records of late. I should have a G Clefs Paris label 78 on my site soon. I was actually thinking of doing a page of what groups are not the Pixies three, and there were many groups called the Pixies. I did buy a Johnny Flamingo 78 on Caddy. "So Long" is probably the most common one out there.
Pookie Hudson passed away last week. He was the lead for the Spaniels. While everyone else was naming their groups after birds, they picked a dog! They also picked a huge hit in Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight. They had many other great records, and I featured a mini set on tonights radio show.

I'm working on another page! This time I will tell you what it is, just in case you are interested. Oscar McLollie. As with most of my pages, I don't have everything, but i have enough of a selection to make it really worthwhile. There are a ton of audio files, so it will take some time, but I am shooting for the end of the month.
